Building Trust in Leadership

In today’s complex and rapidly changing work environment, trust is not a luxury, but a necessity. This workshop delves into the critical role of trust in creating psychological safety and driving high performance. Participants will learn to:

Understand the Importance of Trust: Explore why trust is essential for navigating the challenges of a “BANI” world (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible) and how it impacts organisational culture

Define Trust and its Building Blocks: Move beyond abstract concepts and gain a clear understanding of trust as “choosing to make something valuable to you, vulnerable to the actions of others.”

Apply Brené Brown’s BRAVING Model: Learn and practice the seven key elements of building trust: Boundaries, Reliability, Accountability, Vault, Integrity, Nonjudgment, and Generosity, as defined by Brené Brown.

Recognise the Impact of Trust on Psychological Safety: Understand how trust creates an environment where individuals feel safe to take risks, share ideas, and be vulnerable.

Develop Practical Strategies for Building Trust: Through discussions, role-playing, and case study analysis, participants will learn actionable techniques for fostering trust in their teams.

Address Challenges to Trust: Explore common workplace scenarios that can erode trust, such as missed deadlines, ethical dilemmas, and communication breakdowns.

Cultivate a Culture of Forgiveness and Generosity: Understand the importance of these elements in building and maintaining trust within teams.

Promote an Attitude of Hope: Learn how to balance realism with optimism to inspire and motivate teams during challenging times.

This workshop is for you if:

You want to improve your leadership effectiveness.

You seek to build stronger, more trusting relationships with your team.
